Grow your local creative economy in four simple steps.
- Learn about AIR activities in your state and then reach out to your state contact when you’re ready to get started in your community. If you don’t reside in a participating state, contact AIR to find out how you can get involved.
- Gather local partners.
- Host an ABBBA Mini Workshop together.
- Assess community readiness and determine your readiness for Shift and Evolve.
We want every community to raise the value of art and creativity. Please use these materials to help bring together your arts and business people for an interactive, thoughtful Mini Workshop.
We put together a step by step plan for convening partners in your community so that you can grow your creative sector. And we melded some of our workshop content and exercises to give your community an idea of what they can do to make your community more vibrant. You can download everything you need to gather new partners and host a workshop: logistics, agenda, powerpoint slides, marketing materials, and a survey to help assess your community readiness for this work and the other AIR programs.
Shift Workshop Curriculum Samples included in the ABBBA Mini Workshop
We believe that creativity and art build business in ways that aren’t always obvious. This Mini Workshop helps identify biases about art, creativity, money, business, and value. You might discover that your mental models are keeping you from achieving your goals and are blocking your creativity. Shift your thinking and the sky’s the limit!
Host a workshop that will help determine if your community is ready to grow your creative economy. The workshop provides an introduction to the AIR programs and goals, explores social entrepreneurship, and helps folks find common ground and shared values. Designed to engage creatives, local businesses, and community members.
