Through grants and fellowships, she has directed complex community arts projects, focusing on issues affecting under-served populations; e.g., adults with disabilities, LGBTQ college students, caregivers and the elderly. Her spoken opera, The Way Home, is performed around the country, with proceeds donated to causes like women’s health and the uninsured.
