Emily has been with Stuart’s since October 2012. She also works in professional theater as a director and dramaturg, and as a musician performs with poet Wendy McVicker in the group “another language altogether.” She studied theater at Ohio University and graduated in the inaugural class of Leadership Athens County. She serves on the Ohio Citizens for the Arts and Ohio Alliance for Arts Education boards, she is the president elect for the Rotary Club of Nelsonville and has served as a grant panelist for the Ohio Arts Council and the National Endowment of the Arts. She’s a tireless cheerleader and advocate for Southeast Ohio, Appalachian Culture, and homegrown artists. Nurturing artists of all disciplines – from sculptors to quilters and harpists to heavy-metal bands. When not administrating the arts she is crafting, writing, and spending time on her farm with her husband and two beautiful sons.
