An inheritance of artistry, service, education and leadership is the trove that James and Myrtle McDaniel passed to their daughter, Yvette McDaniel. A resident of Orangeburg, SC, Yvette sang professionally throughout the US and Europe from ages 16 until 46. Presently, she is Director of Choral activities at Denmark Technical College. She established Ultramacs Music Group L.L.C. to develop young artists through honorable, professional relationships.

Yvette is Maven/Chairperson of CRAWL (Community Rural Arts Work League of Bamberg County): a grassroots committee that functions under the Arts Commission’s Art of CommunityRural SC program. CRAWL’s objective is to utilize Rural Arts & Culture to enhance and promote health, education and workforce development. It continues to receive recognition as a model for rural communities.

Dr. Yvette McDaniel (bcsccrawl@gmail.com – mcdaniely@denmarktech.edu – 803.290.6461) is a graduate of Pfeiffer University, University of South Florida and Louisiana State University, of which she is an LSU Fellow.
